Edge Trimming Boards

The sketch at the right (Figure 1) shows the initial positioning of the board Edge Join Sketch to be edge trimmed. The concave edge of the board is placed against the fence. The convex edge is trimmed off by pushing the board past the tablesaw's blade. The board is then flipped over, with the freshly cut side placed against the fence. Next, the fence is adjusted so its distance from the blade is equal to the width from the freshly cut edge to the narrowest portion of the concave edge of the board. The board is then pushed through the tablesaw blade and the concave portion of the board is removed. The remaining board is straight and true on both edges.
